Creating Tasks
Step-by-step guide to creating tasks, from simple assignments to complex master-branch workflows.
Overview
Jadawel supports two types of tasks: Master Tasks (templates or parent tasks) and Branch Tasks (individual task instances). Understanding when to use each type helps you organize work effectively.
Creating a Master Task
Master tasks serve as templates for recurring work or as parent tasks for related subtasks.
Step 1: Access Task Creation
Navigate to /addTask to begin creating a new master task.
Step 2: Enter Basic Information
Fill in the essential task details:
Task Name
- Use clear, action-oriented language
- Start with a verb (e.g., “Review quarterly report”)
- Keep it concise but descriptive
- Example: “Process monthly invoices”
Description
Provide comprehensive task details:
- What needs to be done
- Why it’s important
- Any special instructions
- Links to relevant resources
- Success criteria
Priority Level
Choose from:
- Low: Nice to have, no rush
- Medium: Important but flexible timeline
- High: Critical, needs prompt attention
- Urgent: Requires immediate action
Step 3: Set Timeline

- Only one primary assignee recommended
- They receive main notifications
Additional Assignees

- Good for stakeholders and managers
