User Settings

Configure your personal profile, notifications, security settings, and preferences.

Profile Information

Manage your account details at /settings:

Basic Information

  • Display Name: How your name appears to others in the workspace
  • Email Address: Your account email (used for login and notifications)
  • Profile Picture: Upload an avatar or photo
  • Bio: Optional description about yourself
  • Job Title: Your role or position

Regional Settings

  • Language Preference: Choose your interface language
  • Timezone: Set your local timezone for accurate timestamps
  • Date Format: Select date display format (MM/DD/YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY, etc.)
  • Time Format: Choose 12-hour or 24-hour format
  • First Day of Week: Monday or Sunday

Notification Preferences

Control how you receive updates:

Email Notifications

Configure which emails you receive:

  • Task Assignments: When tasks are assigned to you
  • Task Updates: Changes to tasks you’re involved with
  • Mentions: When someone @mentions you
  • Comments: New comments on tasks you’re watching
  • Approvals: Approval requests requiring your action
  • Form Responses: New form submissions
  • Daily Digest: Summary of daily activity
  • Weekly Summary: Recap of the week’s work

In-App Notifications

Manage notification center alerts:

  • Desktop Notifications: Browser notifications
  • Toast Alerts: Popup notifications in Jadawel
  • Notification Sounds: Audio alerts for important updates
  • Badge Counts: Unread notification counter

Mobile Notifications

Configure mobile app alerts:

  • Push Notifications: Enable/disable push alerts
  • Notification Types: Choose which events trigger mobile alerts
  • Quiet Hours: Set times when notifications are silenced
  • Priority Only: Only high-priority notifications during quiet hours

Notification Frequency

Control notification timing:

  • Real-time: Immediate notifications
  • Batched: Group similar notifications (every 15 min, hourly)
  • Daily Digest: One email per day with all activity
  • Weekly Summary: Weekly roundup only

Security Settings

Protect your account:

Password Management

  • Change Password: Update your password regularly
  • Password Requirements: Minimum length, complexity rules
  • Password History: Prevent reusing recent passwords
  • Last Changed: When password was last updated

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add extra security layer:

  1. Enable 2FA

    • Click “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”
    • Scan QR code with authenticator app
    • Enter verification code
    • Save backup codes
  2. Authentication Methods

    • Authenticator App: Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.
    • SMS: Text message codes (less secure)
    • Backup Codes: One-time use emergency codes
  3. Recovery Options

    • Save backup codes securely
    • Set up recovery email
    • Configure trusted devices

Active Sessions

Manage logged-in devices:

  • View All Sessions: See where you’re logged in
  • Session Details: Device, location, last activity
  • End Session: Log out from specific devices
  • End All Other Sessions: Log out everywhere except current device

API Access

For developers and integrations:

  • Generate API Keys: Create access tokens
  • Key Permissions: Set what each key can access
  • Revoke Keys: Delete compromised keys
  • Key Usage: See API call history

Login History

Audit recent account access:

  • Login Attempts: Successful and failed logins
  • IP Addresses: Where logins originated
  • Device Information: Browser and OS
  • Suspicious Activity: Flagged unusual logins

Privacy Settings

Profile Visibility

  • Public Profile: Visible to all workspace members

Account Management

Account Information

Data Export

Download your personal data:

  • Export Account Data: Request complete data export
  • Format: JSON or CSV
  • What’s Included: Profile, tasks, comments, etc.
  • Processing Time: Usually within 24 hours

Account Deletion

Permanently remove your account:

  1. Request Deletion

    • Click “Delete Account”
    • Confirm you understand consequences
  2. Grace Period

    • 30-day waiting period
    • Can cancel deletion during this time
    • Account disabled immediately
  3. What Gets Deleted

    • Your profile and personal data
    • Comments and attachments
    • Personal tasks
    • Shared work remains (anonymized)
